Which events do you organise in Europe?
  In Europe we organise the London Career Forum in June. In addition, we organise throughout the year and in different European locations, tailor made interview days



Why all the large events take place in London?
  It is in London where the largest Japanese community in Europe lives. Many of our Japanese candidates have acquired an international education at universities in the UK. For qualified candidates coming from continental Europe, we provide financial bursaries for their travel arrangements.



What candidates am I going to meet at your Career Forums?
  Japanese English bilinguals with international degrees and cross cultural awareness. Employers concentrate their international recruiting with talented individuals that, otherwise, will “dilute” in their local labour markets becoming less accessible after they return to their countries of origin.



Which forums are adequate for graduate recruitment?
  Approximately 60% of all attending candidates are graduates with less than 1 year of working experience. The London Career Forum in June is an excellent opportunity to meet and interview candidates for international graduate recruitment schemes.



We are looking for talented young professionals? Where can we find them in Europe?
  Approximately 40% of all candidates attending the London Career Forum have a few years of experience. The Company Specific Interview days are a tailor made event where employers may opt to screen and interview exclusively candidates with the required experience.



Where do the candidates want to work?
  77% of candidates are available to work anywhere. In practice, and due to current employment trends, most of the placements offered are in Japan.



What is the percentage of engineers?
  Approximately 25% of all candidates have a technical / engineering background. For more details please click here



We are struggling to find IT professionals and engineers with bilingual skills. How do we know this is the right forum?
  For hard-to-find profiles, DISCO International offers employers the possibility to pre-screen and arrange interviews with candidates prior to the forum. This way, companies will have an agenda of interviews to effectively focus on suitable candidates

What happens usually after the fair?
  After the fair, employers usually schedule further rounds of interviews or presentations at their headquarters or at their offices either in Europe or Japan. Some employment offers are extended at the forum.
